Hey guys, I was thinking about using the Anchor Mobile platform, because I need consistent brand design with the app and mobile site for my clients. I am currently using Lime, however they do not offer app development. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks fellow Warriors..

Last week Anchor launched a web-based CMS that generates HTML5 & JQuery Mobile web apps. I believe there will also be an option to publish apps to the App Store and Android Market/Google Play. They have an interesting pricing model where you purchase blocks of credits, and each site you publish uses 2 credits. From a cost per-site perspective, they're extremely competitive (ranging from $4 - $7/mo per site). However, to have an unbranded white label system, you're looking at an additional $295 activation and $295/mo. I understand that they invested valuable time and resources building this platform, but I personally can't justify forking over a minimum $300/mo to a 3rd party. Especially when you consider, after the first month you'll already be $600 in the hole. |
