Hosting yourself is the best since all your clients normal sites will link to your domain instead of to dudamobile and alikes

Hosting on their own site unless... look at my thread http://www.warriorforum.com/mobile-m...ml#post6567836

That would be best since it will link back to their site to

Using the client's current hosting is best for the client.

Yes, one can generate recurring income by charging a hosting fee, but paying to host the mobile version is not necessary, in most cases, and will inevitably be found out by the client, at least most of them.

Not a good way to build clientele to whom you can sell other services down the road.

YES, unless you offer additional service with it. Beside what I offer in my own thread, you can also host it for them and let them pay a smal fee and they get hosting, backups, etc. with it. Also its easier to support when you have them under your own WHM.

As long as you're honest about everything it's okay and they stay clients for live.

That's what I thought. I guess a SMS program would get the recurring income and solidify your value rather than gouging them for hosting.

Maybe find out where their website is presently hosted and beat the price THEN host it all yourself.

There are better ways to do it. Don't forget the mobile site will be a SECOND FOOTPRINT on the internet. Most "CLIENTS" have a domainname with their name in it, not so good for SEO purposes. So you can also offer them a KEYWORDRICH DOMAIN (longtail) and put the mobile website on there so it can get its own SERPs. Just do a little keyword research and buy a domain which is SPECIFIC, RELAVANT and LOCAL.

This way you overdeliver and they will NEVER go somewhere else again as long as you stay on top of innovations.

Just a suggestion

Oh I forgot,

You can also offer to host their normal website also on your server with a "index frame" directing to the files you will host on the keywordrich domainname. This way also their normal site will have better serp while the index frame makes sure they can still access thru the old url.

Put the mobile site on a KEYWORDRICH domain name. Thats for getting them EXTRA trafiic. If you host it on the SAME DOMAIN with SAME KIND of content you will get the SAME RESULTS regarding SERP.

By putting it on a KEYWORDRICH DOMAIN it can rank on its own WITH the HELP of the domain which is still one of the most important in SEO. Therefor they can get EXTRA FREE TRAFFIC with something (mobile site) they already need. Putting it on their own domain is a waste of the extra possibilities.

Now besides re-directing mobile users from their current domain to the mobile url. you can also re-direct NON mobile visitors from the mobile domain to their domain.

Now to keep the url intact for re-directing from their current domain you can put a "index frame" file on a subdomain on their current domain so to visitors the url will become m.THEIRCURRENTDOMAIN.com instead of www.KEYWORDRICHDOMAIN.mobi after a re-direct.

If you go on your mobile to Hijama, Cupping en Acupunctuur Amsterdam « Hijama Amsterdam (Hijama, Cupping, Acupunctuur Amsterdam) you will be re-directed to Acupunctuur Amsterdam BUT if you look closely in the left down corner you'll see that it loads from OPFI Online Presence Findability and Interactability which is the domain where their mobile site is hosted.

Hope it makes more sence now
