I'm looking for a WP plugin that will detect mobile browsers. I'm currently using Duda on one site, but the client wants the phone # to "touch to call" and Duda doesn't do this. Any ideas? Thanks! Vikki |

Yup - Mobile Device Detector by Mobile Web Pro - Kevin Koop. There was a WSO during the summer I believe.. if you are in luck, it's not closed. Works great with Wordpress and regular sites. I'm using it on 2 of my sites and it's working well. I have not tested it against a regular HTML site. Hope That Helps... Patrick |

if you have a mobile site and want your mobile visitors to go to it if they visit your desktop site from their phone yes you will need a mobile redirect script, however that wont "fix" your touch to call problem if you want to send me a link to your mobile site i will gladly help you get that problem resolved... i would be very surprised if duda doesn't have the ability to add a click/touch to call button... that's like a mobile101 basic requirement with most smartphone browsers they are designed to auto detect telephone numbers and make them clickable too... you can of course disable that function too but something kinda sounds amiss here with what you are saying...

Thanks grumpyjack! I'll take a look at that. Thank you, too, Jay. The site I'm looking at is Coffee Nation | Bloomington, IL If you pull it up on a mobile device it looks nice, but no touch to call feature. I can certainly look more into the back end, maybe I just missed something? Vikki |

OK - I just pulled it up on my phone and the number is touch to call, but it doesn't stand out as being touch to call. Sorry for my naiveté - the mobile thing is new to me  Vikki |

if so you can always do the following: Code: <a href="tel:+1234567890"> <img src="your button url goes here" width="x" height="y" alt="Click to call your business name" /> </a> +1234567890 = the telephone number you want people to call when they tap it your button url goes here = this is the url to the image you want to use as a button, you could use text instead... x & y = the actual width and height of your image hope that helps

You mentioned you are already using Duda. Are you using Duda's free service or their paid service? If using paid, there is indeed a Click to Call feature (you can rename it Tap to Call or whatever you like) and it works great!
