Here's the scenario... I have a client who is planning a fund-raising charity event. They would like to stream it live on the website I built for them (WordPress) and add a "Text to vote and donate" system for the couples who will be competing in the live event. I've got the text to vote system figured out. Could you help me with some pricing suggestions. I'm trying to figure out the best way to charge them for the texting service. They are a charity org so have limited budget. I'm not looking to make a huge profit, just to cover my cost and a little on top. How do you think I should stagger the pricing? I'm using Twillio as the texting service. Most of the texts will be coming from USA based users. I've put an example together below. Please feel free to fill in the blanks or make any suggestions of your own. Any ideas would be helpful. 0 - 1000 = $ 1001 - 2000 = $ 2001 - 5000 = $ 5001 - 10000 = $ 10001 - 20000 = $ 20001 - 50000 = Thanks guys |

I'm not really sure what you should charge per text w/o knowing exactly what you're paying. I just wanted to mention, if you're unaware, that the text to donate can be tricky - if they are already signed up with givingfirst.org, then they can accept text donations through them. Otherwise, it'll have to be through PayPal mobile. There is a lot of red tape involved in text donations, and I have a school I'm working with and we found that paypal was a lot less of a headache to get setup as far as mobile donations go. Good luck! |
