Is this to complicated to sell to average joe?

I see there are a lot of discussions around the apps for pizza or other takeaway / restaurants. Most of these seem to be just a wordpress site or mobile site and some rare cases an actual app but with limited functionality.

I am thinking about creating a system for takeaways / restaurants that would comprise an app for the business owner and a seperate app for the customer.

The business owners part would include setting them up with a database that you can charge to setup and host, the business owners app would then be the frontend to this database so they can update the menu, prices, coupons and just about anything.

The customers app would be a sort of dynamic app that would be a framework that gets filled with the data pulled from the database so the information is always the latest available.

So would this be too complicated to sell and explain to average joe?

How much would you be thinking about charging for this type of thing if it was available?

Thanks.

If I were you, I would go to the business owners and ask them what they need [market research] then go back and make the exact app for them. That way, it won't be complicated explaining to them

Good idea but that is what the database and framework are for, the seller would ask the business owner what they want on the app.
The database, business owner app and customer app are then made bespoke to their needs.

What impact would SMS or Push message marketing have on your idea? from a business and customers view point? Have you researched the impact if any?

It would impact on the price as SMS marketing would be a seperate entity and push notifications could be incorporated into the app anyway if needed.

I think that this could work. Not sure what you should charge for the app.

    To answer your question "yes"

I read your post 3 times and I am still not 100% sure I know what you mean. And when it comes to this stuff I am well beyond the "average joe". And the average business owner is well below the "average joe".

The idea may work but it seems to be overly complicated in execution (from what I understand) and I believe you are overthinking this. KISS

I asked about the sms and push marketing having an impact on your idea because I took your post to mean that there are two parts to the app, one for the business owner and one for the customer.

I guess the business owners part in the equation is to provide up to date information to your customers app. Push marketing would be a good fit for sending that information to the customer.

The challenge is breaking down your presentation so that its simple to understand, I am still not clear based on your description what it is your wanting to bring to the market? I get that your bringing an app for business owners and customers, from what I read it looks like the app could become an evergreen app in the sense that marketers purchased the app and promote the app to clients. this is where I get lost in your translation.

correct me if I am wrong or took your text to mean something else, and if so then it would help to have a simple presentation plan.

After re-reading your post again, I get the impression that a website should be your lead generation use relevant forms to send that information to your database and use services like sms and push message marketing to deliver attention grabing calls to action to your mobile app,

that way your generating loyalty and brand awareness for your business owner and adding value to the mobile app user.
