Hey Folks, I am wanting to focus on selling mobile sites to offline businesses...but have run into a small problem. Using emulators to test a prospects site. To be honest I never gave it any concern until a couple of days ago when I just decided to test an online version, desktop version, and one I had purchased as part of a program here on the forum. Lets just say the results were, uh, not promising. 3 different types, and usually different results with each. Some would show a standard html site to look as I expected, some will show the same site as if it's a responsive theme, it all fits in the screen, of course it's too small to read, some will show just the text no images...again to be expected on some devices..but none I've seen so far are consistent. So my problem is which ones to trust. If I send an image of a potential clients site looking one way on a mobile device, and he tries it on his own, and it shows, different, or maybe even better on his, then I look like a rookie...or worse, a scammer....is there any way to reliably check sites to see if they are mobile ready? Thanks Folks....this is driving me nutty...uh...er...heh |

Yep...it works same as the Opera emulator I use on my desktop. The one with the program I bought must be the one thats messed up and no help from their support. Thats ok...they will answer eventually I'm sure and can't wait to hear their explanation. The way it works rite now makes it looked like it was programmed to show any site only one of two ways...not cool.

Thanks...but what I was looking at was testing sites on the fly, to see if they already have some type of mobile presence or not. I checked the Google site and it does seem to be fairly accurate....more than I can say for the "Special" offer i bought into.

Safari browser is also a good way to test mobile sites, just make sure the useragent is set to iphone.
