All of my subscribers are optin however I am doing email to SMS. Does anyone know anything about up to date FCC laws regarding this method?

ok thanks. I think I remember reading some new FTC laws where you can only legally SMS if you have a short code. I could be mistaken, I'm not an attorney by any means.

They cannot regulate what the major companies are using themselves. The provider gateway is needed to send multimedia files. If your provider is Verizon and your number is 555-777-1212, all I would need to do to send you a text from my yahoo email client is send an email to 5557771212@vtext.com and you would receive it on your phone. The MMA has been crying about this for 3 years yet as long as you are not spamming and have an opt out option, you are perfectly fine.
