Also try to create an app trailer. Create a demo video. Place them on YouTube. You should certainly build a supporting website for the application. Now the main information about your app is accessible via search engines and browsers. Include a link to the application store. Good luck! | |

Have a social media page and constantly post something interesting about it. Go to the profiles or people who liked your apps and interact with them. Give away some rewards to your loyal users – it is the trick to retain them and to get more referrals through them. Try to increase your ranking in Google Play or other apps websites. Use an ad company to campaign for your apps. They will use professional techniques to make it popular.

Social media marketing is really useful for mobile apps considering the fact that most people go mobile mainly because of social media platforms.

In reference to marketing your fitness app I would agree with many of the other postings and use social media. I would also network with the people that would be using the app and get them to post on their social media outlets about the app. In addition make sure that people are providing reviews on the application on Google Play or what ever channel the app is available through. When you start out you need be excited and get your users exciting about it.

Is this a free or paid app? And what type of a fitness app is this? Coincidentally, I was doing some research on fitness and health apps. I would go down the list and probably ID your competitors and look at reviews / forums on what elements people do or don't like about your competitors. Or you can just PM me.

I've worked / reported on social before and I'd have to step back and say that PR and other efforts like optimization should be prioritized before thinking about a social campaign. Typically developers will throw up a Facebook page, populate it with random content they find online every other day, invite their friends and be done with it. It's not the best medium to launch an app nor is it a lead generator for most (which is where PR comes into the picture) but it's a great way to maintain and connect with the community that builds up around an app.

Try marketing your app is to target "Champions" who will drive growth to your app. A Champion could be a yoga trainer or fitness instructor, who requires their class to use your app as a way to make their workout regiment sticky.

The best way to market mobile app is third-party endorsements. Try to get it reviewed from tech bloggers, press coverage and word of mouth should be the preferred avenues. And most important, pay keen attention to reviews posted by the users of your application and work hard over your application in case of negative review. |
