SMS - push link for the app

Hi,

How would I go about setting up the following:
send text message 'food to #####' and then respond with the push link for the app

##### is a sample number

Do you want someone to download an app? If so, just include the URL in the text reply when they text the keyword. They have to have a smart phone with internet access though.

Spartacus86 have you considered using an SMS platform? It will be a lot easier than having them to download an app.

The question is is it an actual APP? for android? for Iphone/Ipad? or is it a mobile or responsive website being used as an app?

They have many plugins for wordpress that make your website act like an App!

For example I have clients websites using wordpress that are responsive, I then install a plugin that allows anyone visiting the site on mobile/Tablets - android and Iphone/Ipad to add the site to their device as an App!

I use a Twillio SMS type plugin for SMS to use short code like you state above. I also use Email to SMS to deliver the App as well!

Both do the job. The user opts in and then they get a confirmation and reply to the confirmation to subscribe then a message is sent out with a link!

However they do not have to use SMS at all because once they land on the website using tablets or phones they get a message asking them to add the app to their device!

Just include an autoresponse for the mobile keyword that gives the link to download the app.
