Hello,

Is there anyone here who can help me with a problem on UPWORK. If you have made a demo account but never used to bid on jobs and you make now a real one can you go by without getting it suspended? If you only use the real one not the demo/test one.

Why would you get a demo account in the first place. Does not make sense to me

As far as your question. Why not just contact upwork support and get the useless test account deleted

  • You can even delete it yourself: https://community.upwork.com/t5/Free...unt/td-p/73707

But upwork doesn't really recommend it since deleting an account would violate the ToS. You can just create a new profile under the same project. But if you really want it removed, you would need to contact upwork directly.

I don't see a reason why Upwork will suspend your real account, unless its information is identical with the demo account. If you have nothing to do with the demo account, then delete it.

Yes well, I can`t delete it as it`s suspended. It won`t allow that and they won`t manually delete my account they said for me to manually re-edit the old account with my real information.
I`ve made a demo account to see what kind of jobs are beeing posted how much are they paying how hard the tests are.And I've done a couple and I didn`t take them seriously so now I'm gonna have 6 tests with poor results.(below average)

If how you scored on tests are the main issue why you'd like to have your old account deleted, there's an option to hide your test scores via your Upwork Profile so prospective clients or anyone looking to book you for an interview won't be able to view your old results.

It would be a good idea to take Upwork's advice and edit your Profile with the correct info. You can then just retake the tests and hopefully, you'll score higher so you can display them on your Profile. Good luck!

Along with this. Instead of hiding your test scores or creating a new account. Why don't you study and retake the tests. you can retake any test after 90 days. It might be better to actually pass the tests instead of basically lying to potential clients

There is no demo account in Upwork. It's not a must you use your real name. You can create as many accounts as possible if you want. The problem is that nowadays they request a picture of your ID to verify your identity (If you are suspicious). You can also apply for jobs with that "demo account"
