A new article on Forbes reports on how Randy Dewey is involved in the worldwide advancement of 5G technology.

Randy Dewey is the President and CEO of Baylin technologies. The Baylin company is a specialist in wireless telecoms and is renowned in the mobile, broadband, and wireless sectors. Dewey is no slouch, boasting an extensive career in technology, occupying various leadership roles. Baylin is now playing a major part in providing the world with 5G - a new, blistering-fast mobile network.

Baylin has conducted extensive research in 5G development, as confirmed by Dewey:

"We put in the R&D effort well in advance of 5G becoming a reality"
In most countries, the technology responsible for the deployment of the 5G network is small cells. These are mini base stations that produce low-power, close-range wireless transmissions. Although this limits the range of transmissions, this gets remedied by using large amounts of short cells. In populous, developed nations like the US, demand is immense, estimated at around 800,000 cells.

The need for 5G

The need and uses of 5G technology reach far beyond just that of mobile broadband. Dewey commented on this:

"5G isn't being built for smartphones. It's all about powering those game-changing technologies that will revolutionize the way we live, from artificial intelligence to smart cities."
The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has also further illustrated the need for reliable and fast mobile internet. Online activities such as shopping, E-learning, conference calls and working from home, have all surged in popularity since Covid-19's onset.

5G is not yet available to most people because it's still a relatively new and emerging technology. From what we have seen so far, it brings unprecedented levels of speed to smartphone users' fingertips and is certainly the future of broadband technology.

Yeah, your right, let's just stick with 4g, 15 megs per second is more than anyone would ever want on a cellphone. I mean, the 300mgb per second that 5g brings that allows for superfast downloading, interactions and streaming 4k video's is just plain embarrassing.

Interestingly, by the time this evolving technology has fully evolved, it may well be obsolete.

6G is already being planned and researched.
