Do you celebrate Valentine's day

Since it was yesterday - it's over. To me, it's a commercial holiday but to children who love to get cards, to those who think a gift on the holiday is important - I guess it's a real holiday.


I received a lovely box of chocolates from my son - and I made homemade banana pudding for my d-in-law for the holiday. That's the extent of our 'celebration'.



Hallmark, candy companies and florists do well on Valentine's Day....everyone else just goes along with it.

If in a relationship I usually made the effort with my partner. I did wish a couple of women I know "Happy Valentines" and got one back from each. Seems to be an American thing to do this and was never done in the UK where I harken from, except, while in primary school, 5 to 11, where we sent cards to each other.

But really, I consider it to be for significant others. Never did it to show that I was attracted to someone.

Yes we do since i am married, i think for people who are single it must be a difficult time

tbh, for Moi, Valentines evokes an' rewards the finest hopes an' sensayshwaahns gowin' for evry single hooman seekin' togathahness of consummate romance.

Soft an' luscious glory drips from evry availabyool panorama surely as the bzzt bzzt bzzt of desiah fires up so tangibly in yr blendyjuicy areah you could real easy get yusself arrested on a pupil dilation ticket alone.

It is Feb 15th now, an' ima cummin' down offa the whole sweetsylicious deal.

Naysayers (an' they abound now in numbahs, hellbent on shuttin' down Smoochie As We Know It) would considah Valentines to be a distractin' frivolity ... naht worthy of its place in our calendah of togethahness.

So what if it were to be GONE sum day, along with Hallowe'een, an' othah stuff we agreed for sum time we wanna celebrate?

Before celebration comes consent.

An' when it comes to Valentines celebs, I would nevah evah wanna relent.

We went to the casino for a few hours, had a decent dinner...not sure it constitutes a date, since neither of us hit anything worth bragging about... but we scored a ton of treats today at Walgreen's 50% OFF, lol

I have never celebrated it, and never will....

For celebrating Valentine's Day, a girlfriend is needed and I don't have any.
So, for me, it was a normal day as usual. :xD
