How Much Have You Spent With Amazon

Since you started using them.

Must have spent many thousands over the years.

Also, what other major purchases have you made online, possibly even sight unseen, perhaps just by recommendation. I bought a Dell top spec PC several years back with a 32" 4k monitor from Amazon, must have been over $2,600. (not top spec anymore but still holding out well and fast)

Even now, we spend maybe $800 to $1,000 a month on Amazon.

Maybe $200-300 for books, and the rest for items we used to buy in stores. Really fast shipping (for free with Amazon Prime), huge selection, low prices, and lots of reviews to guide your decision.

Even E-Bay. When I had our store, we used to spend a few thousand a month on E-Bay, because we could sometimes find prices below my wholesale.

To me, Amazon is smart shopping.

That's a whole lot of books, plus all the crayons you need to go with them. Honestly though, eight hundred plus per month seems like a lot. I have stopped using wholefoods due to delivery screwups, so what else do you buy each month?, specialty foods, sauces, batteries, clothes? Would be interested to hear what an 800-1000 per month purchase selection is for the Whit family?

It's not a lot of books. I read two or three a week. And I buy them in print, so I can write in the margins and take notes in the blank pages.

In a month, we buy cat food and toys, shoes, clothes, vitamins and supplements, over the counter drugs, minor appliances, specialty foods, yard tools, seed, and pest removal items and chemicals, all our cleaning supplies...and more. Remember, $1,000 a month is only $35 a day. We also spend about that much a month at a few of the local grocery stores.

My wife buys her clothes from a few catalogs. I buy everything on Amazon. I just hate shopping. I'll go shopping with Cheryl, because I enjoy being with her....but It drives me crazy when she checks ingredients, expiration dates, and has to try on 10 different coats to find one she likes.

We'll go to a shoe store, spend a hour, and she'll buy one pair of shoes. I'll go on Amazon, find a shoe that looks OK, and will buy six pairs, so i don't have to do it again for 10 years.

what other major purchases have you made online
I purchased a washer and dryer for half what they were listed on the floor (same model #) at Lowe's. Dishwasher, gas stove....a glass fronted bookcase and a storage cabinet (both hand made in Mexico). I've purchased 3 computers online and a Yamaha digital piano. I buy music here and there from sites where I choose the music and download it - really convenient.

I spend anywhere from $250 to $600 monthly on Amazon - seldom lower than that but sometimes higher for holidays, etc. Like Claude, I buy a lot of books - 95% of mine are Kindle books.

I HATE to shop - always have. A friend used to tell me I was 'bad for women everywhere' because I hate malls and dept stores, etc. I like consignment and thrift shops because you can get in and out quickly and choices are limited.

The one clothing site I buy from (seasonal sales usually) is Lands End.

I can find anything I need on Amazon and with few exceptions, the price is competitive if not better than in a store. I ordered a LOT on ebay in years past but the failure to limit fake items and to properly label the 'made in china' items ended most ebay purchases for me. Etsy seems to have gone the same way as ebay on imports. I ordered a personalized Easter bunny for a baby gift with a 14 day delivery...then AFTER ordering was given a 30 day delivery. That tells me where that item is coming from. I do not order food form Amazon.

If I find a product on a mfg site or store site, I'll go to Amazon to see if I can get it there. Prime gives me free shipping and the Amazon return policy is a real plus. Pet food and products are on autoship from chewy.com.

My FAVORITE Amazon purchase in the past few months was a $12 dog ID tag that has my dog's name in a flower design on one side - while the other side reads
"Oh crap! I'm LOST. Pls call mom...###"

Not as much as I sell on Amazon? is that a good answer?

Not that this will be a popular admission, I spend less on Amazon monthly than I do on Ali Express and Alibaba.

When I used to live in Korea, I'd say I've spent quite a bit with Amazon, especially for everyday stuff and gifts. Can't give you an exact figure, but it's been convenient and reliable for me. Now using the ì‹ ìš©ì¹´ë"œ 현금í™" I could see how much money it will be and get some cashback from it purchases
