It's blistering down here in SA. Just miserable. Anyone else feeling these high temperatures ??

Polishing off a few Voodoo Rangers to counteract this hot weather.

    Pleasant here in Ohio; high of 82 today. Gonna install my son's basketball hoop this morning and do a little grilling later. Thought about smoking a brisket or some chickens, but there's rain in the forecast.

    Anyway, enjoy your blistering heat. Hey, at least it's a dry heat, am I right?

      I thought about smoking a brisket or some chickens but they just don't make those hand rolling papers big enough.

      In Conroe, it's often humid as well as hot. Not that far from the sea relatively speaking. I expect San An will be a little better.

      No Dan it's humid as hell. Now out in Palm Springs , Ca. where we lived a few years, now that was 124 degrees and it was dry heat

    I so DO NOT miss the heat and humidity of the Mississippi coast. 68 degrees here at the moment but big storms coming in later today.


    Hope I don't have to spend another evening in the basement bathroom with 'take cover immediately' alerts going off. The neighbors up the road just starting clearing away the destruction from the recent tornado. I love a good thunderstorm...but this is getting ridiculous.

    It will pass 100 in the next few days in Las Vegas and probably be above that until October. I started drinking. I have been getting the heavy drinking in before it gets too hot.

    When it is around 110 the beer gets warm to fast and the dry heat turns to blow dryer heat when the wind blows

    Yesterday I drank a lot more than I was planning to but I bought a few flavored steel reserves early in the morning. And when I went to open the pineapple this attractive young African American woman sat down next to me and helped me drink it.so I spent much of yesterday drinking and talking to her. I must be real hard for women to approach when I am fully sober. The last few weeks drinking women have been approaching me.

    83 here currently and sunny. It was nice outside last night as it slowly cooled down into the 60s. After 13 straight weekends of at least one day of rain, it was nice to have a dry Saturday and today. (rain for Memorial Day)I'm going outside again in a little bit to paint a table out in the backyard.
    I don't know how you put up with it all Summer. It's a good thing you guys in Texas were not in the towns that made the news. It looked like some wild weather there in your state!

      That early in the morning I would get the woman around here sober or not sober to line up for free Hot coffee.

      Anyway today the heat got to me so I drank 1 beer and like ten bottles of water.

      The problem with dry heat is you don't realize how much you are sweating because your clothes dry out to fast. Haha

    I've always heard that San Francisco has perfect year-round weather. When I was younger, living in the Florida heat, I wanted to move to San Fran one day. Now, I'm not sure that's a good idea with the poop and all. I think I would rather deal with the sweltering heat and humidity rather than having to tippy toe around poop on the sidewalk.

    Now I live in Asia and there are two basic temperatures: heat and sweltering heat. I despise the latter, especially with the high humidity, so I don't look forward to this time of year.

      San Diego is where it's at, temperature-wise. That's the only place I'd move to in California.

        We lived in LA for nearly 4 years. Now you talk about incredible weather, sunny and 78 degrees year around. It's really amazing.

        I didn't care much for San Diego the couple of times we went there. Just too damn windy. You couldn't even enjoy the outside because of this! But that's just me. Thought it was way overrated!!

          I'd move to Coronado Island in a heartbeat. We've loved it there every time we've been there.

          There's certainly some wind, but I'd take that over Ohio winters.

      It's not actually that hard its comfortable to sit outside if you have shade and a swamp cooler . But it helps if you are in the area at the temperature goes from the 60and 70s to over 100. Unless you are from Phoenix then it never feels hot anywhere else.

        I guess your idea of comfortable is way different than mine. I can do the sit in the shade thing till 80, above that, I need air conditioning.

          Low humidity matters . I don't wear sun block either.I avoid staying in direct sunlight for any period of time. Florida most of the year Philippines the few months I was there Massachusetts during the summer. The humidity made a/c a must.

          So I understand
