Finally rented an office.

Today I found a good deal on an office so we rented it and I'll finally be taking the business out of the house. No more barking dogs, fighting kids, squawking parrots, doorbells, telephones, etc. I'll probably be able to get more done in the first week at the office than in the last six months at home.

And btw, I was able to negotiate the price down and I got the first month free simply by asking for it.

Time will tell if this was a good idea or not but I really feel good about it and I think it will add a lot of credibility to what we do.

    Hello,
I am thinking about doing the same thing, my biggest obstacle in my home office is having the couch and television nearby, they keep calling and calling me.

    Something new soon.

Luckily I don't have that problem, around here the biggest issue is noise.

It will take a while for that to happen.

Working at home is harder then some imagine.
For example, I'm single and live in an old 2 story farm house on a little over 1/2 acre. I always have something that needs to be done.
It's very easy for me to get distracted by 'chores' and at the end of the day realize I've done nothing work wise.

I think an office is an excellent idea for a couple reasons.

You'll become so much more productive

That is awesome! If you don't ask, you don't get! How much
is it per month if you don't mind saying? Does it include high
speed Internet? I'm going to do this when I finally decide to
settle down and stop working on the move!

Cool. How about post some pics or a video tour.

I've considered it. I do a lot of videos and yea the 3 barking dogs and other stuff can be a pain in the ole home office.

I know for sure not to record or skype call between 1-2. The mailman comes and it seems to be a new occurrence for my dogs every day since they go nuts.

It's just a hallway and an empty room but once we have it set up I'll post some pics. Like you, I record a lot of videos and it is simply impossible to do in our house.

It will be around $200 a month, internet is not included but all of the other utilities are. There is a lot of empty space right now so if one landlord won't negotiate, there are plenty more who will.
