I sleep lots, too. But when I still have much energy left, I just play some games.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

There is no 'after' work. There is 'between' work maybe. I wake up to grab my blackberry and start answering mails at 5 am while I'm still lying in bed.

Amen...DOUBLE amen. That was my first thought when I read the OP.

Then realized that I had spent most of this day chasing a bad graphic card and, therefore, technically did not work today.

So, after work I try to keep my desktop running so I can go BACK to work.

Sad, sad, but true. But then I paid a total of $20.00 for this thing almost four years ago!

    @ Dennis....

Work is when muse calls, I suppose after you finish the objective of a creation then there is a period of after work.... between the callings of the muse. Personally I spend time with the kids and play my 52 tele ri.

The muse rarely leaves me alone though.

It is the other way round for me. Right now, I either fly my RC helicopter or cycle 10 km or more during daytime. I then do work in the evening before going to bed.

After work - I walk into the other room to relieve my sitter - then clean up, cook dinner, feed the children, horses and goats - Come back in, give the baby a bath, put her to bed - feed the dogs, let them out - sit down, smoke some weed - go on facebook - go do some dishes - make some tea - and relax. =)

I like the post about sleeping to restore energy. It's important
as it rests not only your body, but your mind. And your brain
really needs to sleep because it replenishes some sort of nutrient
    while you do.

I've been self-employed for over 2 decades, so for me, there is
no "after work". It's with me all the time and occasionally, I slip
in some time to do something quick than I enjoy... like shopping
to buy stuff that I can resell. LOL! My efforts and passion has
really changed and focused on claiming my dreams via internet
marketing selling information and doing my service businesses.

When you do something you truly love, it's hard to call it work!
