Hello,

I am the owner of the website TVACRES chronicle information about TV programs.

About four months ago, Malware was found on my server at HostRocket.com. Both Norton and Google flagged my site. I had to get my hostserver to delete the malware before I could get reapproved with Google and Norton.

Immediatley after, the problem was fixed I noticed that my monthly traffic dropped from over 300000 to 100000.

Consequently my ad revenue dropped from 600 a month to 200 a month.

This problems has persisted for last four months.

Can anyone offer an explanation and or solution or refer me to someone savvy who can figuure out the problem?

I use both GOOGLE and VALUECLICK (two different ad companies) and both have registered the drastic lose.

Here's hoping someone can help....Thanks

I think I found your site a year or so ago....

I don't think there is enough information here to answer that.

Some things you might look at:

Where was your traffic coming from before? Look at GA and look back in time at the sources of the traffic. Where did the fall occur? Did someone stop sending you traffic?

Did your rankings on Google suffer?

If you're returning traffic left you and you don't have an email list it may be very hard to get them back. If you do have a list, you might consider emailing your list and letting them know the problem has been resolved.

You might just have to rebuild. Keep your plugins and software up to date, it will HELP with malware but it can happen to anyone.

    Sorry it happened to you!
