After much research, trials and tribulations and heartbreak, I finally accept that money can't be saved unless it wants to.

Not true. You have to want it to be saved. My boyfriend says I'm a squirrel when it comes to money... I hide it everywhere. I like to keep several different accounts for several reasons: if someone hacks into your account, they can't get to all your money. If I decide to spend some of it, I can't get to all of it. And if I get to a point where one of my accounts grows to a decent size, I put it into a share certificate so I can't touch it for a few yrs & it just grows there. When I was waitressing & doing housekeeping, I didn't really make very much because it was right about when the recession hit, but i'd put at least $10-$20 of my tips in a jar I hid in the linen closet. About 6 months later, we were both unemployed & I pulled $3000 out of the closet. I did that in the navy too. Every few days, i'd log onto my bank account & transfer the cent amount into my savings. Ended up with a grand in a year. Change is a good thing too. I put all my change into a jar & save a couple hundred a year on that. Granted, everytime I save a decent amount of money, something happens & most of my savings just dies, but that's life i guess

It's not the most prime of times to buy gold right now, but it is still probably wise to convert any US dollars you have to gold. Otherwise all that saving will have been largely squandered.

I guess the first step is that it has to admit that it has a problem.

Exactly! Just talking at money will not save it.

yeah, i'm not keen on the idea of buying gold. right now, I can't even save any money & it sucks. My boyfriend & I are having REALLY hard times. I'm currently unemployed & going to school on the MGI Bill, my boyfriend's between jobs & we live in a college town so work is garbage for garbage pay. I haven't even been able to get my online biz off the ground yet cause it comes down to money. I had to scrap everything cause the domain/hosting was eating into our funds & I was just getting it going when times were hard though, the saved funds always got us through the patches, but I haven't been able to save any since I haven't been able to find a job in the past year... my life kinda sucks right now, lol.

You're literally sitting on a goldmine but I'm not sure you see it. To begin, a few questions (to ask yourself):

      1. Why are you here on Warrior Forum? To find a way to make money online?
      2. What are your strengths? Utilize them.
      3. What are your weaknesses? Delegate that.
      4. How might you join forces with other students to make money?

Note: As I waste time on this forum, I am making money.

I am my own gold mine... when my life isn't ripped out from under me all of a sudden. i joined warrior forum 4 networking/ tips. my strength: my ambition & my inability to accept the circumstances i was born into(poverty). my weakness: my intimidating/ blunt nature(which is at times also a strength). & i'm not going to be in this state for too much longer. I've already been asked if I wanted to invest in a business when we all graduate, but i'm not staying in this god awful town & they have family money(these guys haven't had to work in 2 years), i have nothing at the moment. My electricity just got turned back on today after living in the dark for 11 days. I had to take all the money I had stashed to pay the rent so we can stay till our lease is up at the end of may. There's no jobs here because school is out so there's no reason to hire anyone smarter than a chimp. but then again, it's the same when school's in. I'm probably gonna be living out of my car for the last month of school which is pretty inevitable at this moment considering the situation we've been put in in the last month... If you can tell me how I'm sitting on a gold mine right now, that'd be SUPER:rolleyes: the only thing i've got that i'm working on is school & a free niche marketing training program. These things are gonna take some time though to see the rewards. Until then, I've got... my goals.

I would suggest that you stick to the program you are on, carry it out, and get better and better at it. In contrast, jumping from one IM branch to another like a monkey in a tree is not the way to do it.

A wise man once said, "He who dies with money, dies with shame." Money is meant to be spent, you can't take it with you when you die, so you might as well live it up while you still can. You could get hit by a bus tomorrow for all you know.

Spoken like a person who's never really had to prepare for anything... no offense. Nearly everything these days requires some form of deposit. House, car, utilities, cell phone. Even college sometimes. If you ever want to own anything nice, you're probably gonna have to save for it. Not everyone just has $100,000 to buy a house outright or even $10,000 for a down payment. Or even $2000 to just go buy a tv. & drinking & partying your life away doesn't exactly give you something to be proud of...

I guess I was LUCKY that I met AL Williams when I was only 17 years old and he taught me TWO very important lessons.

    1. PAY YOURSELF FIRST. We have always took the 1st 10% of every paycheck and invested it.

    2. Rule of "72". Divide the amount of interest you are earning by 72 and this will tell you how many years it takes your money to double.

    18% divided by 72 = 4 years.

Of course this means nothing to most people because they never save a DIME.

I was always AMAZED at my Telemarketers I had working for me. We always had contests for the person that performed the best.

I purchased 100 of these books that had changed my life financially as one of the GIFTS they could choose if they WON.

Over a two year period only ONE Person picked the book. Everyone else picked a piece of CANDY, lol... it still makes me LAUGH and CRY everytime I think about how SAD that trully is.

Pay yourself FIRST my friend and use the tool of compounded interest to become a Millionaire.

    1. Free Stuff
Enter rewards programs to get free stuff, but be discerning some schemes don't offer anything you want and some you have to spend too much to receive a reward. Just go with the ones that give you points for spending on what you normally would purchase.
    2. Banks
Check the banks for a different interest rates for both savings and loans. Don't just go with anyone go with anyone, get the best rates possible.
