I just rebooted my computer after chrome froze up - and now ALL my bookmarks are GONE WITH THE WIND!

I cannot find the setting for recovery? How do I recover?
There are a Load of important bookmarks there...I am not a Happy Dog!

I am definitely dazed and confused on this one...

After I get these back (hopefully) it looks like D.I.V.O.R.C.E for c.h.r.o.m.e!!

Has this occured to anyone else? How did you recover?

I've been looking for answers in "google help" -
but a better word for it is "google NO help"

S.O.S! mayday! mayday!

Only good comment I can make here is to do a system restore, however there are even better ways of protecting your investments by using an image backup solution such as Acronis True Image, and never again be at the mercy of software or malware.

      Hi Joshua and Bernard -
Thanks for the tips...unfortunately at this point it looks like I'm hosed
The chrome bookmark recover only looks like it will work if you haven't exited out yet...
I also tried a system restore - no luck
I looked at my .bak file and it has nada...except the 2 bookmarks I had added before the restore -
that file has to be recoverable from somewhere...but where?

I know, I know, backup often - but these were bookmarks...never happened before with bookmarks.

This truly sucks! I had hundreds of important links in that file -

If I can get these back - Ill be happy, but chrome is out of here...
It is amazing, the number of complaints I've seen lately re: chrome - yet some people are having no problems apparently...

Thanks again - any other tips will be greatly appreciated - I'll keep looking....unfortunately google is not much help - people have been complaining to them about this for over a year! w/no answer from them.

That is one thing that keeps me on FF. They have the best bookmark backup system, at xmarks.com. When I was on IE a lot of years ago, I used to export my bookmarks regularly for back ups. You can also export and import bookmarks on Chrome.
