Oops, sorry! That's the start of an introduction to a whole different kinda place.

So anyway...

I'm new here. Been lurking around for what seems like forever. Come to think of it, it HAS been forever. First got online in the early 90's, with a local BBS, made my 1st dollar online in about 1998 and now I'm looking to make my 2nd one.

I've seen and done a lot of things... online, offline, mainline, sideline, inline, outline, upline, downline... Ah well, we've all done things we're not real proud of, eh?

Thought I'd wander in here for a while and see what might be going on from the inside. Maybe I can share something useful from time to time and it'll sure be a plus if I get some useful stuff out of my time here, to boot.

Feel free to pop in here and say, hidee-ho, neighbor!, WTF?! or even GTFO of Dodge! I'm looking forward to making some new friends and acquaintances.

LOL - Hi Pauly, welcome to the Warriors.........well the Warrior forum bar anyhow. Pull up a chair and pop a cold one. The bs gets pretty strong in this part of the building, but sounds like you can handle it without crying and running upstairs to take it out on the other noobs.

Um.....btw.......you do realize the new guy has to buy a round for the house, yes?

Jim, I'm sorry to here you've lost your mind. Perhaps if you post an ad in the Warriors Classifieds someone will find and return it to you. It may have just been emptied and discarded somewhere like with a purse snatching.

            Get well soon, my friend!

Ah crap. I found some antique marbles. If I had known where they came from I'd not have sold them. Actually, though, for the price I got for the stupid things they probably got more returns than they would have in their original location.

Un uh - no way. I can't drink whiskey. When I was 15 my parents went to Florida leaving me at home alone all day before my sister was to come and pick me up to take me to my grandparents for the week. I thought I'd be kewl and have a party with some of my friends.

I started out with a jigger in OJ (hey, I was 15, what did I know?) Well, that was enough to get me flying and I picked up the bottle and started drinking..............
The next thing I remember it's dark and I'm in my sister's car making her pull over ever couple of miles so I could hurl.
When I got to my holy roller, never touch a drop grandmother's house, she thought I had the flu and started pumping pepto bismal down my throat. I didn't get out of bed other than to get to the bathroom for 3 days.

Haven't touched a drop of whiskey of any sort since - no burbon, no scotch, nothing.........no way, no how, no day.
I had to hold the stuff at arms length just to pour it when I was bartending.

Know what this is making me want? A Mike's Hard Lemonade. Hey - where'd the new guy go?

Hey Pauly.........get back here and finish your drink before Jim grabs it. The ice is melting.

uh oh....he musta got lost on the way back from the rest room. I hope he didn't get down into the cellar. The last time AlexR got down there he never came back again.

              Only when mooning.

JW Black and Chivas...I don't know if it's a mental blockage (be nice now)
or not . a lot of people say JW Black is better than Chivas...I like Chivas...especially out of a paper bag.
Although it tastes almost as good out of a plastic bag...

P.S....Don't get me wrong ...lol... JWB will most definitely do in a pinch.

                Passport? Is that like Champiple?
Actually, Passport is a pretty cheap blended scotch by Seagrams. It was the only cheap scotch I could drink. Some of the better bars will use it as their "well" scotch.

In my drinking days, my favorites were (in order):

                JW Black
                Chivas
                Jim Beam
                Crown Royal
                Wild Turkey

If a bar didn't have JWB or Chivas, I'd switch from scotch over to Jim Beam, etc. Almost always drank it straight, but sometimes on the rocks, then strained.

PS...I'd also drink Teachers or Pinch, but was rarely in the type of bars that served them...But would still prefer JWB over either of those two.

No - we're in the basement. The cellar is where the janitor's closet is. You weren't here about 5 years ago when AlexR was here. He liked beer. He liked it so well that he went and made the church of Alex in the cellar. It had holy water vats like the Catholic church but put blessed beer in them -- and they were a little bigger, too - um - like swimming pools. I think he drowned in one of em. He came up a few times but didn't sound any too lucid. Then he went back down and that was the last we ever heard from him. Kevin Riley used to like the cellar, too when he first got here but he always found his way out.

Gee, you new guys missed a lot of fun in here, ya know it?

It had holy water vats like the Catholic church but put blessed beer in them -- and they were a little bigger, too - um - like swimming pools. I think he drowned in one of em. He came up a few times but didn't sound any too lucid. Then he went back down and that was the last we ever heard from him. Gee, you new guys missed a lot of fun in here, ya know it?

Sounds like I missed out on a long lost brother.

Where is this El Dorado, this hidden gem, this cellar of gold?
Holder of swimming pools of beer...

          Huh?

Wow - I spent my whole last two years of my teen life with too much acid in my system. Still fun to imagine what my kids would have looked like if I'd had any.

Jim - I dunno where it is. I'm never gonna go down there. Just hunt around. If you fall down a flight of steps, you found it. Actually - I think it's just beyond the OT vortex - or OZ, one of the two. Can't remember now which one.

If you ever can find the "Nonsense thread" in the archives - read it. It's only 80 some pages. It will explain everything...and a little bit more.

I didn't know that you're still single ma'am. And if you do have children they would be perfectly fine.

I'm also would like to take a closer look on that mythical pool of beer. Hoping nobody kicks me behind lol.

Thanks to everyone who has popped in to greet me. I like that. :p

Swimming pools of beer in the cellar, eh? I'd be a little leery of that, though. There's always one person who refuses to get out of the pool to pee. Ewwww!

I had an uncle once who nearly died in an accident at a brewery. No, this is not the same old worn out joke, this is true!

Yeah so anyway... he fell into a vat of beer and all his buddies rushed over to help him out. He managed to successfully fight them off, though. 3 days later, he had to climb out to go to the bathroom and, when he did, they put a cover on the vat.
