Yeah the wind/precipitation patterns have been wild for 2 years now. On top of that - a LOT of people mistake dry weather for "warming".

Right now earthquakes have calmed down, but the topical weather is a tad nuts this season.

Got to watch it when you hear about stuff on the news. A LOT of press doesn't actually mean that things are getting worse - just more publicized. We all know when the news bothers to publicize anything they are going to milk it for everything they can get. They're having fun raising fear levels about earthquake frequency. I track earthquakes and have for around 6 years. Nothing really abnormal is going on with them. They are a little high here and there - but the magnetic pole is moving, so actually, it would be really scary to me if there were fewer quakes going on because it wouldn't make sense.

This is a hella tornado right now -- and it's being a very strong season. Note though that there's hundreds of tornadoes in a season anyway before getting any too provoked about it.

Wow, I just went out and vacuumed out my truck. Before going out, they were reporting tennis ball size hail. Now they're reporting baseball size hail.

I guess if luck out and avoid flying tractor trailers, you'll still be hammered with killer hail.

Thanks Gary, thats exactly what I saw at CNN. Those trucks weight what? 10 tons? 20 tons? Pardon my ignorance, but I was in shock looking at those things flying that way!

Fully loaded they can legally go up to 40 tons.

@Patrician - the dude had georgia insurance in his sig file.

Those tractor trailers flying around in mid air reminds me of the little dinky toys - except there's little weight to the toy ones. Never second guess the power of mother nature - she can be force to contend with.

I can't imagine the shear terror people, affected by this, must be feeling.

Well I am thankful to report that Stone Evans, my dear client and friend (year 8) is safe in Dallas as of about 30 minutes ago.

Of course I am praying for everyone there.

It's really incredible that anybody stays there and goes through this year after year. I know property is cheap but come on.
