How do I download a .zip file?!

OFF TOPIC

I just bought a WSO in the form of a .zip file, when I downloaded it, I got a notification pretty much saying I don't have the right program to open it with.
It downloaded fine. Any suggestions?

  winrar is safe - but unless you are opening .rar files may not be what you need
  
  I think 7zip will open about anything - it's also a free download and safe to use.

zip was like the second popular public archive program, that I know of at least, and that was close to 30 years ago! A LOT of decent archive programs support it.

I bought my copy of winzip in the 80s and for years you got free updates.
Sadly they started charging for "new versions" in the early 2000s.

Download 7-zip first (Download)
then after you install it
you can now right click the file that you want to open,
click extract here or extract file.
..hope it helps
