Zorbing tragedy: Russian man killed after climbing into inflatable sphere and plunging off mountain in extreme sport - NY Daily News

Ok- I can see where that might be fun in a hilly meadow - but on the top of a mountain? Are they nuts?

    That is tragic.

They have that sport at all of the ski resorts around here now. Though I'd say it is much more controlled (fencing, etc.)......my grandson did it last year and loved it.

That really induces a very strange reaction with me.

The thought of the people inside knowing that things are going to get worse and worse as they are in a crazy dizzy state with no way of escaping the situation.

      It doesn't bear thinking about.

Yep, if you are into extreme sports, think for yourself!!!!

If the bungy cord looks warn down, or you are thinking about climbing into one of these things on a hill, then assess the situation first; if you let them think for you a potential disaster can occur!

I have heard about people bungy jumping, and slipping out of their leg band,s, falling into a hard surface, and spending the next few weeks in hospital.

Or the man who got drunk on his wedding night, jumping into a pool, damaging his neck, and spending the rest of his life in a wheel chair!

Statistically these things are very small, but they do occur.

There are plenty of fun things to do in this world, without risking your life or health!

And Mount Everest is riddled with bodies!
