Nope - clicked off as soon as I found out it was about heights. No way I wanna see it. My dinner remains safe.

      Hi joseph7384,

I saw that aerial video a week ago or so. I started thinking he must be crazy when they explained that he needs to check the weather, because if it changes suddenly, there's no quick way down. Yikes!

I've seen a few like that before, but they still give me sweaty palms.

      Hi tagiscom,

"is it worth risking your life to get on Youtube, for a few bucks, you f**** insane moron"!
From what I've seen, these people do this stuff anyway, they can't help themselves and can't live any other way. They're just choosing to share it nowadays on youtube.

I have a friend who's wired similarly, but not as extreme as that guy in the video.

It makes me wonder - if I was able to do what that lad is doing on the video - to dangle from a crane with one hand, with only four fingers between myself and a pretty unpleasant plunge to my death - what would life be like after I had done that a few times for fun?

How would I view everyday challenges compared to how I view them now - the kind of challenges that I find daunting but the potential consequences of failure or a mistake are just mild discomfort?

As I have noticed with my friend, there is a danger that long periods of life without adrenaline rushes become unbearably boring. But maybe that's a good thing, depending on your perspective? But is it always?

I'd like to interview that guy and ask him various questions - does anything frighten him? What's his job? Stuff like that.

      ..........................

OK, check out Alexander Rusinov -

That stuff is 10 times worse than the crane dangling bloke. It's not just sweaty palms, it's heart-stopping!

And an RT documentary on the subject -

I saw the video image, that was enough to give me the willies!

Or enough for me to say, "is it worth risking your life to get on Youtube, for a few bucks, you f**** insane moron"! To put it nicely!

Maybe the last video should go on the dumb thread! He is an ideal candidate, if he is still alive! :p
