US health officials estimate that at least one million Americans have been infected with swine flu since the H1N1 virus emerged nearly three months ago.
The number is far higher than cases actually reported to the authorities.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said many cases were mild, although 127 people had died.
The CDC based its figures on surveys, rather than laboratory evidence, but the numbers suggest the death rate from swine flu is lower than thought.
"We're saying that there have been at least a million cases of the new H1N1 virus so far this year in the United States," said Anne Schuchat of the CDC.
"Reported cases are really just the tip of the iceberg."

Wonder where it is? It's sure not here. It's not even the right weather to be conducive to virus. Wonder if that is just more scare propaganda? All that old toxic Tamiflu sitting on the shelves must be getting ready to expire. Either that or people being conditioned to accept our new Health CONTROL policies?

MOST people, that have SEVERE cases or have died, are either:

    1. Foreigners
    2. Very young
    3. Very old

I, for example, am in my 40s. IF I caught it, I suspect NOBODY(not even I myself) would know! I may very well die within the next 10 years, of a blown aorta or complications, but I DOUBT any flu will do me in.

Looks like the swine flu is gonna stay here for long. It will take time before the virus will completely vanish.

It's crazy because in the beginning when there were like 20 confirmed cases, it was all over the news. Now it's topping over a million and you never really hear much about it. Even at work, it was a continuous discussion and we all had to update our continuing operations plans and were reviewing the levels of threat.

All I know is that I'm being a little more vigilant on having my kiddos wash their hands and practice sanitary measures (well as much as can be expected for a 5 year old and 2 year old!)
