Another question: has anyone used MailChimp for their clients to send newsletters, set up auto responders, etc.??

I see you can private label it too...

  • Yes, and mailchimp is awesome. It's one of those subscriptions you look at the bill each month and think, "Really, that's all?". They have I think one of the most powerful feature sets in this space. And their webapp is just a delight to use. Now, mailing is a complicated thing, so it's a big product, but they have the right amount of help articles and the support is super fast.
  • Im not sure, but I think that is the service that bans you for sending affiliate links. Or am I htinking about something else?

  • Yes of course! Mail chimp rocks!
  • Mailchimp has been endorsed by at least one other IM expert in one of her courses. Best part is its free until you get a certain number of subcribers which certainly helps when you are starting out.
  • too bad its not an option in W+, I would definitely use Mailchimp for my next WSO

  • Mail Chimp is awesome, but you have to be smart about it and you can't be sending affiliate links.
  • I use Mailchimp for all my offline clients. It has really great features and it's easy to teach my clients how to use it.

  • Mailchimp is great. You get 2000 contacts for free which is a huge bonus.
  • Thanks everyone!! Appreciate it!

So basically I can use MailChimp to:
    A) create a sign up web form
    B) database collecting all info
    C) send out emails / auto-responder

Great! I also need the system to be smart enough to send emails to so & so on this day & month. Is that doable? Like in an automated way? (ie: send email on their Birthday)

I would also need a custom sign in page for them to come & claim their prize but thats a different thing I guess. That would be done through the website developer.
  • Not a huge fan of mailchimp. Their user interface is a bit of a nightmare if you have a lot of mailing to do.
  • Mail chimp or Aweber are pretty good... If you want to take it to the next level, try out Relenta = the Holy Grail for Email Marketing.
