3 Quick tips on landing clients

#1) Stop Selling To Business Owners Who Don't Care

First of all, don't try to target business owners who have no idea what you're trying to sell. Don't try to create demand to somebody who hasn't taken the time to learn about this industry. Understand that some businesses will never care about their marketing.

Some of them will never do anything to increase business through advertising AT ALL. Imagine driving down an empty dessert talking to a small restaurant who has clients that are simply tourists that need to drive by and get some food. Big chances these people don't even care about their online presence, and some may not even think about.

Or what about that local restaurant I tried to sell to on having a simple website. They did not care at all, and all they wanted was to just to get the customers they already had but they never liked to advertise other than using simple flyers.

Businesses who are already spending on advertising are the perfect people to hit.

#2) Don't try to sell something that doesn't do much to the business

So many people are trying to sell things that don't do much for the business, which I what stops people from thinking they need it. Just ask yourself, ''if I had a business like this business I am trying to talk to, would this be worth it to them?"

#3) Ask yourself, "would I trust this person?"

Yes. After that phone call, cold call, email, or direct mail.....ask yourself this very question. The same goes with how you approach your potential clients. Is it a strategy that will create buyers and not just readers. Make yourself trustable. Make yourself helpful. And show them what you can do for them.
