hello pips members

I am new to this sort of stuff but on my learning travels i have noticed something that im not sure about. in my opinion it does not look good but i think it would be best if other people could clarify it up for me and any advice would be very appreciated.

it has some great video's with matt cutts. back to the point, as i entered The URL for my page to be analyzed and in the last section the results seemed NOT SO GOOD!!!
on my recent post and i guess maybe my main post?

so basically i understand this as having basically 1 header tag of any use. Is this correct?
As header tag 2 seems useless for any seo, and people to find my content?

anybody with good knowledge of seo might be able to clear this up for me?

You can add tags in your posts which are part of your home page since you have he latest version of the Wordpress Enabled PIPS Website.

You can also edit your header.php and footer.php files in the Wordpress Appearance Editor to add the tags to the existing content.

what i may find difficult and very weary of doing is adding tags because of the set up.

<meta name="Subject" content="<?php wp_title(''); ?>">

<meta name="keywords" content="<?php wp_title(''); ?>">

now do i just add what content i wish to add in the example below or do i do it diffrently?
as im not wanting to wreck my wordpress site

Don't touch the Meta tags, Tim - that is all code that will populate the fields from what the content is in your blog posts and your General Settings "Title" and there is a field for "Tags"

What I am referring to is tags in the text of your site if you want to do that.

For example if I wanted to make HOME BUSINESS and <H1>

<H1>HOME BUSINESS</H1>

FEWWWWWWWWWWWW thankyou. i nearly made a huge mistake

i didnt think of doing that durrrr bit the same as a normal website. i usually try to enrich it with keywords through-out the content with-out overdoing it.

also is it a good idea to ping the pages after doing a new blog?

Wordpress automatically pings - I forget where I saw the list in the settings but you can add more pingers - I think they use one that goes out to multiple engines.

It does not pay to rely on the default ping system on wordpress.

Use "Ping Optimizer" plugin to control your pings otherwise every update to the post will get pinged and you can get in trouble for over pinging a post.

And you certainly need a plug in like “cbnet Ping optimizer” to make sure you not over ping and get "ping spam" penalties.
