Stone is stealing from you?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I received an email from someone and I get these periodically and want to address this issue:

Here is his email first and my reply second:

"Doug,

We haven't spoken in a while. I don't know if you remember me. You optimized my blog for me. Anyway, I wanted to write you and ask you a question. I still have my website. I've had it over a year now and have not made a cent of profit yet. I've made a LITTLE from SFI, but I have paid out a LOT MORE money than I've made so I am still way in the red.

Just yesterday I realized something about my site. Some of the affiliate links since I never upgraded to full membership status had stopped working. In fact, they are directing people to be 'sponsored' by STONE EVANS now! This is unbelievable. I think he knows this. I think he knows that a lot of people who get the PIPS site will never upgrade some of the programs he 'recommends' and then they will eventually all funnel people to him. I believe that I and a lot of other people are just existing to make Stone Evans rich. This is an amazing and disturbing discovery.

For the better part of a year, MY WEBSITE has been more of a funnel for Stone to make money than for me. There are a lot of words I could use to describe such a scenario, but to put it simply this is just plain WRONG! My site doesn't get a ton of traffic but I looked at it and there has been a small steady flow throughout this year. I have been wondering for nearly a year WHY nothing was ever happening for ME from my website. Now I believe I know.

As a result of this discovery I am quickly making changes to my site in order to eliminate any possibility that Stone gets anything new to his income through me. I am going to completely eliminate some of the programs he "recommended"(with an agenda) from the beginning. I want to replace them with TRULY the best affiliate or money making(FOR ME) programs out there.

So my question to you because I trust you as a fellow believer is, what TRULY are the best affiliate programs and such that I should be promoting on my website? I saw a few on your website like Spider Web Marketing, ProfitInfo, and Sitesell. What about those or others? What about Ewen Chia's Super Affiliates program? I like the potential of this one because it is a ClickBank sell and has residual potential.

Can you help me please? Thank you."

Here is my response:

"Sell what you want to sell on your site - it is totally your business and yours alone - you do not have to even mention PIPS on your site if you do not want to. If you look at my Plug-In Profit Site News blog - I sell Clickbank products and rotate them if they do not sell anything. Stone does have it set up the way that you say (that really is smart marketing on his part and if it were me I would do it the same way), but it is at your discretion to put on your site whatever you want to. I have learned one thing about Internet Marketing that is very important...

To make money online you have to promote products that sell and create products that others will sell for you...that is why networking and visability are so important. If you can get into the right circles, opportunities open up and you can get your product creation out to the masses.

Affiliate programs do work if you have sign-ups beneath you, but those come with time. Your best bet starting out is to find great products and/or programs and sell them on your site and/or blog. Write reviews or posts, add banners, advertise on free sites the things that you are wanting to sell or promote. You do not have to spend money - I have built my business on countless numbers of free methods - you can download the report that I wrote about it here:

http://www.workbegone.com/the%20free%20method.pdf

I hope that helps and I am here anytime you need help...

Hope you had a great Christmas and hope you have a great New Year.

God bless,

Doug G"

Stone is rich because he is a smart marketer, not because he is a thief. Follow his methods and you can do the same.

Happy New Year everyone...

Doug

Well put Doug. Stone is making money because he has a great product that is setup so others work for him. Pretty smart if you ask me...

This guy has a greedy, selfish mindset.
Mindset Bytes the hand that feeds it.

He didn't mind taking the free website and training that Stone provided for him and he could have joined every affiliate program and got credit.

Even though he doesn't want the commission, he just wants to make sure Stone doesn't get any benefit.

That mentality goes in the booby box along with the trolls that yell scam when they aren't rich in 72 hours.
:rolleyes:

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

What Goes Around Comes Around:

Case in point: The PIPS APPLICATION.

If you don't want to join a program you are advised to put in your sponsor's ID -

(every link needs some VALID ID so that it won't just produce 'page not found' errors on your site). gee i can see the wheels turning in stone's head now? ever since he built the internet with al gore.)

OK - People only put in THEIR SPONSOR'S ID AS ADVISED on the application page, about HALF THE TIME.

They put in nonsense or 000000 - and it must be SOMETIMES because of this same troll mentality and some who simply do not follow the directions for whatever reason..

Not so much fun when your downline does it to YOU!

What Goes Around Comes Around.

When I get the application I do not go and research whose sales page it is - (unless I can tell by some other ID where they did actually put in the sponsor's ID - small percent of time)

*hmmm. it would be good for me to have a way to identify sales page ID - but then how to know what they have input on purpose or what is just jibberish, what is really the sponsor's ID? okay, software upgrade or fortune tellers globe?

So, IF THEY DO NOT GIVE THE SPONSOR'S ID as directed, THEN THEY GET THE DEFAULT WHICH IS STONE's.

So THIS IS NOTHING CONTRIVED BY STONE - * This is sometimes caused by the Applicant Being Afraid Somebody Else Will Make Something Off Them - and some who simply do not follow the directions for whatever reason..

TALK ABOUT LAW OF ATTRACTION -

==================================

p.s. btw, don't forget stone is a pips affiliate too - he has his own site and his sales page just like you do. Sometimes he would, only in that case, be the sponsor by design (of the applicant)

SO ANSWER IS: NO STONE DOES NOT STEAL FROM ANYONE.

P.s.s. ever since the first Mega site software i have seen every program on the page has a sponsor id so there is no error. {see explanation of "error" in post above}

They were always the programmer, Gary's ids. I don't know what has happened during the following years and what ids are in there now that only darrin can give you the mega site.

Join as many programs as you want to if you have the mega. Change the ids to your own anytime.

Don't forget that you can remove anything you want from your website as well as add anything you want. This includes the core programs. {however the corporate sales page will not change from the core}

P.S.S.S,T!

Don't forget we are all here to make money. It's no crime, yes?

Get creative with your own business - MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME - what else can YOU do?

Believe me I am one who had to find out with the revelation I was born without the marketing and sales gene.

...but i just love this environment. this is the industry, internet marketing

what i wanted to be when i grew up since i got here is an INFOPRENEUR.

I am so blessed to even be here and be such a failure as a marketer at the same time! I am humbled by the people that I get to network with here on the forum and in PIPS...

Again this NEW YEAR I WILL RESOLVE TO DO SOMETHING WITH ALL MY SITES. See you all out there I hope!
