You have asked a great question.
RSS is a fantastic tool for fast indexing within the search engines, especially google.

I will not waste your time explaining what RSS means, there are plenty of places you can find that information. However, what you do need to know is how important RSS feed sites can be to help you get your web pages indexed fast - - "Super Fast" is some cases.

Basically, every time you start a new website or write a new article or upload a new content page, then you should be going to as many RSS feed sites as possible. You add your feed url to the feed sites and they do the rest. If you have squidoo lens or blogs, then they are great for linking to your main websites with text link and RSS feeds.

I can tell you honestly from my own testing:

It is possible to get the number one spot on the SERPS in less than a few hours, I kid you not. It does of course depend on the keyword and the demand. (long tail keywords are perfect for fast indexing with RSS feed sites).

One fantastic way to get multiple results in the search engines is to get yourself as many free websites set up as possible.

Free sites like squidoo, wordpress, blogger, hub pages, myspace, facebook and as many other free sites as possible. Use the same keywords in all the sites and use anchor texts back to your main site using the same keywords.

Then submitt the RSS feed for all the free sites to as many feed sites as possible. You may well get a fantastic shock when you see how quickly you see results with indexing. It is free to join feed sites. Some require login and passwords and some do not.

Either way it is vital you do as many as you can. You will see results. Also. you can include keywords with your feeds.

I highly advise you use as many keywords as possible.

Use one of the many free keyword research tools and grab every relative keyword and add it to your feed site. Also include the keyword "marketing" to one of your keywords. It will increase your potential for indexing.

Go do it - - you'll be pleased with the results!

Quick explanaction of RSS:
"RSS" means "Really Simple Syndication." But that's just a fancy way of saying that you can keep up with all the updates to any website without having to check the site every week to see "what's new." New pages and updates to old ones are released through RSS.

All this sounds really good & informative. And it's like a lighbulb just came on. Because what you are saying is starting to make sense to me as to "why" all this social networking is...well... working in terms of traffic.

There's a few things here I didn't know or understand:

Like "HOW" do I use keywords on those sites and anchor texts? I don't know HTML, not yet anyway. Even though I don't think HTML is how it's being done or is it?

For example, I now have my facebook page, I just started building my page (site) before the holidays and I'm new to learning how to use or navigate on these social sites.

What I didn't know is that I could add keywords to my facebook or myspace etc.

Where I can find out "how" to do that? adding keywords & anchor texts?

I should have also mentioned "Twitter". Take this as a fact: Twitter is the big one for 2009. Learn as much as you can and spend at least 3 mins everyday putting up a new tweet. Trust me, it will benefit you greatly.

I am glad it is starting to make sense for you. As far as using loads of relative keywords, I was referring to the RSS feed sites. However, there are places to add keywords on all of the social sites.

Some sites such as squidoo, wordpress and hub pages allow you to add keywords in your back office. It is really easy to locate and very simple to implement. And Yes you are right - - There is no need to know anything about html.

I am not sure if you were asking to explain what an anchor text is, or whether you were wanting to know how to add anchor text?

So please excuse me if I am telling you something you already know!

An anchor text is basically a keyword that you use to link to another website or webpage. There are rules you should always follow when useing text to link out of a page:

• The textlink should be relative to the content you are writing
• The textlink should be relative to the page you are linking to

An example:
You are writing an article on running a business from home.
Your file, title, description and main keyword is "runnung a business from home".

Your anchor text that links out (whether internal or external) should say "runnung a business from home". And link to a relative page on running a business from home.

In our case of making money online, that anchor text would lead to a sales page, affilate offer, another internal page on your website or for your ezine for list building etc.

I know it sounds simple.

If I had a penny for every wesite owner who used "Click Here" as there anchor text, then I probably would not have to work again! If you are going to use click here, then include it after the keyword in the link.
