Hello, In following Mr. Stones 30 days to success, I have installed the Article Directory on my website. I was absolutely amazed at how many articles I had waiting for me to approve. It gave me a sense of accomplishment. It a little work but I might add I am picking up quite a bit from reading these articles. I have still quite a bit to learn, so hopefully it will bring me the kind of traffic we are all hoping for. |

Most if not all of the submissions you will have received have probably been automated. This means that the same articles you are receiving have probably been submitted to hundreds of other article directories. This makes it rather difficult to rank if your site doesn't have a lot of PageRank so I wouldn't expect all that much traffic within the short term. For SEO purposes if you can get all of those articles indexed this helps build back links to your money pages but generally I would take a quality over quantity approach if you want to have a successful article directory. Most people just think the more articles I have the better. Make sure you take advantage of the RSS feeds by submitting them to RSS directories, implement a social bookmarking strategy, set up Squidoo lenses and add your RSS feeds and so on. All the best, Mike. |

Every category in your article directory is assigned an RSS feed. Giranimo.com Article Directory There is a lot of info on RSS on the net so won't get into that. You just need to copy the link provided by AD and submit it to as many RSS and blog directories as possible. There is a list on this page ksoft- RSS Submit - Software to Easily Submit Your RSS Feeds I actually own that software and could probably provide submission service for PIPS members, 1$ per feed submission. You can also take those links and add them to a squidoo lens. Set up a Squidoo lens for each category in your article directory. Mike. |

I should also provide an SEO service for Article Dashboard because it has duplicate content issues. It just involves adding nofollow to some of the links in the template. If you have the SEO toolbar from seobook.com installed and turned on you will notice www.articledashboard.com have incorporated a lot of nofollow links to avoid duplicate content. Mike. |

know this no matter if the article automated, duplicate, old or poor. having an article directory with thousands of articles is great for your website ranking. it gives a content rich website, updated and adding frequently. that's great and here more, i can assume that your directory is PHP page generator, so make sure that on each page on the right (or left) sidebar you have a links table; and internal links to your home page and other important pages with your anchor text. |

Most of the PIPS sites I see are PR1 or PR2 therefore it's highly unlikely many articles will get indexed, especially because the article directory is installed in a subdirectory which adds another level for the SE's to crawl. Mike. | |

I have found that some of the article directories have similiar 'confirm' pages. Are they all set up by the person, or is are their templates out there for set up? And then when I register it sends the confirm email, I confirm but when I go to log in it says I can't and when I re-register it says I already have registered. And it appears not to have humans running it because all I ever get is the same confirm circle. Have you ever run into this?

In have an Article Directory that has been getting articles from a distribution service for several months. Many of these articles are unique. They really do not do much except draw in a new visitor now and then. There are too many giant article directories for a small one to get ranked well. If there were a way to create a highly keyword focused article directory it would do a lot of good. Steve |

Indexed means it is listed in the search engines results pages. You currently have 83 pages indexed in Google site:http://www.giranimo.com/ - Google Search |

Yes the RSS feeds will definitely help with rankings however I would also look at incorporating a social bookmarking strategy as well. Good quality content is the best way to generate links so pick the best articles in your directory that you can find and social bookmark them Social bookmarking service. Fast tagging and posting to all major social websites - SocialMarker.com and hopefully that will generate not only traffic but some back links too. |

Remember, the more articles you post on your website, the better. Take this to heart. You will be able to get a decent amount of traffic to them each day but you do need to add new one all the time and be persistent. Tal Fighel |

I think PLR content is great because of the 200 or so people who have also purchased rights to the same articles (obviously the least the better) probably only a small percentage of those people will actually do anything with it. It's also easy to rewrite it yourself to make it unique or you can pay someone $5 an article to do it for you. Mike. |

Hi I have had my article directory up and running now for about a month and like everyone else got a large numebr of articles straight away. The numbers ahve now tailed off. But what I am noticing is an increase in the traffic to my article directory. This has got to be a good thing as I have google adsense on my article directory, so not only are people being exposed to my site and what it has to offer, I have the second income stream from adsense. Hello, I have received over 1000 articles in my directory. I am having a bit of a problem keeping up with it but I don't mind if it truly helps me with traffic and my standings in alexa. I have noticed that instead of being in the millions I am at the low 700,000. Which is what I want. So I feel I am doing something right. Any suggestions on speeding things up a bit? |
