PushButtonLeads into GetResponse
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi
Very new to this; only day 20 of the training. Received 2 e-mails from PBL regarding 2 new subscribers. According to the training manual these subscribers will be added to my autoresonder automatically. Well, they don't and after an e-mail to GetResponse they say this is not allowed.

Here it is:
Hello Andre,

Thank you for your reply.

GetResponse cannot be responsible for what another
business writes on their websites.

Unfortunately, we do not allow these types of leads
to be imported into our system. The only leads you
can have in your campaign, are subscribers that have
requested information from you specifically.

Please have a look at our GetSubscribers offering, at
Opt-in list-builder adds subscribers and leads to your mailing list.
(2009-02-10 16:21:42) Customer:
Question leads:
I received notification from PBL for 2 new subscribers, added those manually (under 'Add Subscriber') and then 'Remaining Subscribers' field went from 50 down to 48.
And when I look under 'My subscribers', I don't find the added ones.

Please help

The only leads you can have in your campaign, are subscribers that have
requested information from you specifically.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT PUSHBUTTONLEADS ARE.

Here is the key to this:

Please have a look at our GetSubscribers offering, at
Opt-in list-builder adds subscribers and leads to your mailing list.

OK?

PUSHBUTTON LEADS

If you have set up PBL correctly, your campaign name@Getresponse.com should be in the 'your autoresonder' field. It should be working correctly and automatically.

First you need to confirm that. You will find your campaign name by going to GetResponse and to the menu Campaign/my campaigns. Go back to PBL and confirm that is what you have in the field.**

However, in either case, GetResponse requires them to confirm that they have 'opted-in'. If they do not confirm, then they are never added to your GetResponse subscriber list. Eventually they will be purged from the system. If they confirm, then they will be added to the list. ***

Also keep in mind to give GetResponse's system 24 hours from when you receive a notification from PBL that you have a subscriber before it is added to their database. But again you still won't see it until and if the person confirms or 'double opts-in' -

**If you find that your settings were wrong at PBL, after you correct that, you will then need to manually add the leads that have not gone to GetResponse. You do this with the menu Subscribers/My Subscribers/Add a subscriber.

Secondly, the subscriber has responded to your ad - if it is automatically sent to GetResponse, it is treated as if someone sent a blank email to GetResponse to request a subscription and as such is not the same as an 'imported lead'. A PBL subscriber is different than a purchased lead. It is actually a subscription initiated by the subscriber.

For whatever reason, many people do not bother to confirm. There is nothing we can do about it but try to move on to finding a subscriber that is actually sincere.

Please do not call GetResponse about this issue.

*** You can remove the settings to require confirmations in GetResponse. Keep in mind while you may lose less subscribers that having the setting protects you from spam complaints to some degree - so you have to decide -

I would suggest that you set up to get reports from GetResponse weekly (if you have upgraded) so that you will not be constantly confused and/or checking who confirmed. They will just send a report telling you who is a subscriber and you will know that they did confirm.

Log in to GetResponse
At the top of the page:
Go to THE MENU NAMED Campaigns/
Click Campaign settings
PICK THE CAMPAIGN NAME
Four Tabs will come up BELOW

Click General
Go to #2 Reports
Put in your personal email address (no one will see this but GetResponse)
Click the button for 'weekly'
They send mine on Sundays -

The best option is to get subscribers leads, then you will have at least 98% real time confirmed leads. I used PBL twice and results were 0000%. Closed the account and switched to Getresponse. These guys are good.

I have had a similar experience to everyone else with PBL, only about 6 weeks of exposure, but nothing to date. Even changed the ad copy a couple of times, but still the same results.

Patrica

I just read the thread on PBL's and your reply. Being so new to all of this I have a question that I did not find in your reply.
PBLs you can purchase leads, if you signup using the PIPs sales page or the free dotcomology link should or can those leads go in the getresponse autoresponder?

You have to love your self before others can.

Hi Jim - not sure what you mean because you don't purchase PBL leads as far as I know - you join the program and this gives you the ability to display ads that invite someone to sign up to receive your newsletter from Getresponse.

If they respond, they are now a 'lead'.

Please do read above where I explain how this works.

hehe hehe - yes it was starting to sound like Adminder.

Please understand Guaranteed Visitors then:

The 10,000 VISITORS are shown pop-up ads that invite them to subscribe to your newsletter when they visit various sites on the internet (not your website).

IF they respond then they will be sent a confirmation email from Getresponse and IF they confirm then they will be added to your subscribers list and receive your email.

Push Button Leads where great in the trial period but when I started paying they delivered less than half what they did in the trial period so I will be dropping them. I don't care if I can never subscribe to them again. My advice to PIPS is to DROP them from your preferred subscriber list.

I agree that pushbutton leads is a waste of time, i could not log in or change my ad copy and after numerous emails and so called fixes from PBL still could not get in.

Recommend to not wast your money
