I registered a second domain with host4profit and want to create my own blog. I installed WP and got this error message when I clicked on "Open /wp-admin/install.php". '.__('Already Installed').' '.__('You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.').' I went to my cpanel and there are no tables in the database. I don't know what to do now. Any help out there? Thanking you in advance I remain.... An anxious to get going, PIPSter. Sue Knapstein |

Hi sknapstein, I am sure, that you do not need another domain name, for your blog, because you just need to ad your blog to your domain. You can ask web host, what to do? I hope that help Mira |

I added wordpress to my domain... does that basically mean my domain is a wordpress site only now? i.e. if I were to try to add pages it would have to be through my wordpress dashboard?

You may need to create a new database by going to WEBePanel -> MySQL Database -> Add MySQL Database and use the new one instead. By the way it is WEBePanel which H4P use not cPanel, they are two very different hosting platforms. If you are asking for support and state you are using cPanel you may cause some confusion.
All the best, Mike. | |||

It sounds like you just copied all the files from a previous installation of WordPress and then uploaded them to the new domain. For each new installation you need to create and define a new database in the wp-config.php file. Another way, but not the ideal solution is to share a database by changing the WordPress database table prefix in the wp-config.php file. |
