There may be 2 cases where the problem could be:
1) Plugin conflict
2) Wrong editing of <div> codes in one of your template files.

I haven't experienced any issues with the Twenty Thirteen theme. FYI for extra styling options try the Styles and Styles:TwentyThirteen plugins. These plugins give you excellent control...

I haven't heard of that, could be a problem with a plugin, without seeing your blog just guessing.

Try deactivating all plugins and see if that fixes it.

Check the competitors for the keywords where you lost the ranks. Are they at the same place? May be a simple Google dance causes this and wait for a few more days.
