    Hi David,

There are so many advantages of using Wordpress CMS. Some of them are mentioned below:

-Flexibility With WordPress, you can create any type of website you want: a personal blog or website, a photoblog, a business website, a professional portfolio, a government website, a magazine or news website, an online community, even a network of websites. You can make your website beautiful with themes, and extend it with plugins.
-Multilingual WordPress is available in more than 70 languages. If you or the person you're building the website for would prefer to use WordPress in a language other than English, that's easy to do.
    -Easy Installation and Upgrades etc.

WordPress.com isn't wholly new to me. I've used it in the past as a contributor, but someone else hosted and managed the blog. Until about two months ago, I had never been behind the wheel, commanding the controls, steering through blog waters on my own with WordPress. But now that I have, I see how powerful WordPress is. WordPress.com gives you the most control of any free blogging platform I've seen. The learning curve is manageable, although it does require some time, but in my use, I was actually excited to get over the hump. I wanted to learn more. I stayed up late into the night playing with designs and adjusting settings. The more I used WordPress, the more I wanted to use WordPress

Personally, I think WordPress is primarily popular because of a few things:

      1. It is easy to learn.
Because of this, marketers with a little html+css ability can typically sell websites to people that don't know any better by choosing a theme, hacking together some minor changes, and putting it in front of their clients.

      2. It has a ton of plugins.
See 1 above. For most things, you can find a free (or very cheap) plugin to do what you need to do.

      3. It can be used to build out professional quality sites quickly
If you are a developer and you take the time to learn how wordpress works, you can create very nice sites quickly that are easy for you (or your client) to update.

Of course, I think much of it has to do with 1 and 2 above ... but as someone that falls under 3, it lets me provide high quality web sites that do exactly what my clients want at a fraction of the cost it would take to build everything from scratch. Also, if a client wants, they can go with someone else down the road with no real issues. Not typically true for custom systems.

A full stack LAMP+Javascript developer with 20 years of experience. Oh right ... and a marketer in progress.

Wordpress has become the universal CMS on the web. Non technical users can get set up easily with wordpress and there is a large pool of developers who can configure, customise and build on top of wordpress. Many designers are familiar with wordpress and can create custom designs and themes.

Yes WordPress have flexibility in the script but i suggest that make the website in custom script because sometime wordpress have restricted areas in their script.

A long as I work at cms2cms, it's an automated content migration service, I would not be that much sure on WordPress. We are to constantly witness a lot of moves from this cms to Joomla from people running successful enough small business sites.. don't think that there's one-fit-all system for the case. WP is extremely easy to operate when to compare with other cms, though Joomla has its advantages too, and a lot of noteworthy sites as Cloud.com, Linux.com, etc. are powered by this beloved solution.

Some of the times it happens that some WordPress plugin are not working due to poor or bad coding. And one more reason is the some plugin are working only on updated version of web browser. So, for the first you need to check your web browser and it's version and the plugin is compatible with the browser you are using or not.

Here's a little secret I learned the hard way, and you're going to get it for free.

Don't use anything else but this SEO plugin on your WordPress website.

Why? Because this plugin was written with massive and busy (multi-)sites in mind, so its 197% to 867% faster compared to other popular SEO plugins ~ you know the plugin I'm talking about. This plugin also consumes 177% to 260% fewer server resources and about 15% fewer database interactions (numbers may vary on this one depending on plugin compatibility).

And there's another thing which is guaranteed with this plugin ~ 100% fewer advertisements. And the author intends to keep it that way.

The name is The SEO Framework and trust me, its awesome.

You can get it in the WordPress repository absolutely free!
