How to make additional copies of my website ?

Hi, I am not very techie and am having trouble getting an answer to what i think is a fairly easy question, but out of my comfort, knowledge zone.

The person who is working for me has created what i refer to as our template, the exact duplication of our current site, but without the content on the pages. the exisiting programming stays the same, but all of the content, inside the boxes on the side pannel is removed.

What is left is a skeleton of the site, some structure, same boxes, ( empty ) everything is the same, less the content.

My guy has created that template, empty site, that is not the problem.

The problem is, I now need 5 - 10 copies of the template ( minus the content ) so Ican pass those empty templates on to new people in different Cities. Thise new people will add their content, that is specific to their individual Cities.

I am being told that it will take an hour to give me one template ??

All the work has been done, the original template is there already completed.

Not sure why its going to take an hour for one additional template, a copy of what has alaresdy been created?

Am I missing something here.

Your help would be appreciated.

    Are you paying by the hour or by the template? Is this work so time critical you can't wait 5-10 hrs? What I'm saying is: define the problem ....is it a problem or is it an irritant?

    Have you asked your 'guy' why it takes an hour to replicate the site? There are cloning plugins, etc etc etc....but there may be more to replicating the blank site than you know. If someone here tells you 'shouldn't take that long' - that doesn't change anything.

    When you hire someone to do a task you don't know how to do yourself - you have to trust them or hire someone else. You know that.

    Is it a WordPress or an HTML site?

    Is it being copied directly on the hosting?

    An HTML site should be easy to copy and it shouldn't
    take that long to make additional copies. Those files can
    also be downloaded and attached to emails just like any
    other documents.

    A WP site can be copied directly on the hosting, I have
    done this before, but ease may depend on the provider.
    I have hosting that makes it quick and easy to copy WP.

    Downloading WP files can take a while because of the
    WP theme and database that makes the site function so
    it might take an hour and a half to get all of that copied.

    When you hire people to do this type of work, it helps
    to have a general idea of what they are doing, so you
    know whether they are being truthful or not.

    Hello, for this type of Landing Page duplication problem what I recommend, and if done through WordPress, is the use of the "Duplicator" plugin.
