Create a Wordpress Page to Display Widgets?

I am trying to get a widget to run on my wordpress blog.

I don't want it in the sidebar, I want it to be in the content of a page.

So if you clicked "Join our mailing list"

it would bring you to a page with my MailChimp WP widget in the "Page" area.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

  • The answer is magic:
http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ess-theme.html if you really need to use a widget.

An optin form should also provide a javascript code and/or and html code that you could just simply paste into your page.

And if you promote affiliate stuff, MailChimp doesn't allow you to use them so be careful.
  • I believe that the OP was and is asking for the very simple interface where you can just drag and drop the widgets into the sidebar, only with posts and pages, instead of the side bar, I do not know of any plugins like this, however, it is interesting, if you look at the code for how the widget interface works, PHP being as versatile as it is, just about anything is possible.

I would recommend having a look at how this is done in its original context and then explore how you might implement this for posts.
