WP is acting weird. Can you help?

For some reason, my WP installation started to act weird.
I've de-activated all plugins, but the problems are still there...

The problems I know of:

Write:
- no editor
Edit page or post:
- no editor
- cannot switch from HTML to visual
Create new widget:
- widget overwrite eachother
- widget can not be moved up or down the list
- widget setting = full page instead of the regular dropdown
- existing widgets can not be edited (IE: won't dropdown to show settings, FF: no 'save' button)

I'm looking for someone who can find out what's wrong (and fix it)...

Are you experiencing this problem with both Internet Explorer and Firefox?

I suggest to backup database and reinstall WP to the most uptodate version.

My coders can do this for you (not free). PM me if you're interested.

    Dimitry.

Have you added any plugins you've NOT used before on this blog, or any NEW plugins.

It sounds to me like there is a plugin incompatability.

But sometimes it is possible for a a file or entire install of Wordpress to become corrupt. I've had this happen, rarely, due to something changing on the server - Apache recompiling, etc.

      Two options

      1. to See if it's a plugin causing the problem. Just deactivate one plugin at a time, checking after each deactivation to see if your wp blog is working properly again.

When it is, then you've isolated the plugin causing the problem - the LAST one deactivated.

      2. Back up your db, and reinstall wordpress.
If any or all of the wp files have become corrupt, this should fix that straight away.

      # Also, check your blog's database for errors if you can - If you've got cpanel, you can just go into the mySql area, click on 'Check db', then 'repair'.

      Hope this helps.

      Deb

ps. if you still need help, you can PM me. I develop and install custom wp blogs day in and day out for my clients' networks.
