I want to make a list of emails to send a weekly newsletter type deal from my forum. I don't want to spam so I need to find out how to get they're emails and take em off a list. That way I wouldn't be "Harrasing them" with emails. I know a way to get the emails, but the opt out part would be tough to configure from how I know how to do it.

Also, I'm not knowlageable (very very little knowladge actually) of php and such. Please help

Well since phpBB is one of my specialties

Anyway, a person could obviously make an advanced mod for it.

But a simple and sweet approach that would be cost effective is to just make another forum group, something like (News Letters) or what ever.

Then add everyone from the start to that group.
In your emails at the end for the opt out, put a link to a public post that explains how to opt out.
In that post tell them to login and go to their UCP under groups and deselect what ever group you picked for the emails so they will be removed from that group.

This is all assuming you would be using phpBB to send the emails.

Usually I say not to PM me for support questions unless it is something that needs to stay private.
    It's nothing personal

It is simply that asking the question in public and then me or someone else answering helps anyone in the future with the same question. Rather a PM is private and only helps one time.

It's a keeps on giving (helping) type thing
