Hi,

I'm a noob with Genesis. Neither am I a programmer.

I bought the Genesis theme and freelance child theme. I'd appreciate if expert here can teach me how can I:

1) Remove the widgeted areas on the home page.
2) Change the color of the background.

Tried using the Big G but cannot find anything that can solve the problem.

thanks in advance. :p

Studiopress, which is the company that sells Genesis and the child themes, has a lot of information on their forum. Really, if you're starting out using these themes, you would do great checking that out. You'll learn a lot.

You should be able to change the widgets on the homepage inside the Themes menu on the left, or the widgets menu

also the template.css or style.css file would contain the background color. unless the template has multiple "skins" then look for the style.css file within the proper skin's folder
