Simple WP and html question

Hi Warriors,

I am looking to have my domain.com home page as a squeeze html page and then once signed up will go to a thank you page, however when i try to ftp the files to the main directory it doesnt do anything. Any ideas? it must be so simple... but im missing something

Do i have to do something in komposer to publish the page?

I also add a wp blog to domain.com/blog... i guess any pages with domain.com/blog/ xxxxx will be on wordpress and any other pages like domain.com/product1 would be html is that correct?

Thanks
Kev

Not sure about your question...."however when i try to ftp the files to the main directory it doesnt do anything" -

Do the files upload via FTP? - Are you logged in to your server?
Are you uploading them in the right directory? i.e. public_html/htdoc/www?

As for the 2nd part of your question - yes you are correct.

What's the name of your file?

It needs to be index.html if you want it to show up as the first page. (in fact that also depends on your server settings.)

But there is a better way to do it.

PM me if you are still having trouble.

You can actually make your squeeze page part of the wordpress pages.

You could just use WordPress for everything... make your squeeze page a static front page and create another page for your blog. The controls for this are in the "Reading" settings of WP.

You might also want to think about using OptimizePress for your theme. It is specifically built for Squeeze / Sales pages and has a lot of different page templates to suit what you want.

This is a favorite theme among my clients that run promotions.
