        It is really tough to be absolute about much in the programming world. Everyone has their opinions. I think python, c#, and php all rock but others would disagree and I would not argue with them.

        However, the single most awesomne thing in programming land I have seen is jQuery. It is simply sublime. ( of course, that could partly be because javascript alone sucks so bad for so many reasons - starting with inconsistent implementations in different browsers )

        If you are interested I say learn jQuery at any cost! I learned at jquery.com

    For jquery, there are lots as well, but maybe you can tryout

      jQuery is not a server side language, it runs on the client's browser only.

    Asking for a javascript plugin is as vague as asking for a website?
    If you can explain I can help point you in the right direction. If not
    Google javascript and start there.

    jquery is actually a simplified or shortcut method for a lot of javascript operations.... so if you know basic javascript syntax (clue: its based on C) then move on ahead with jquery
