How to validate site for Google Webmaster Tools

I am trying to get the ownership of my site verified so that I may use Google's Webmaster tools. I am given 4 methods to verify my site.
  1. Uploading a HTML file
  2. Add a Meta Tag
  3. Use Google Analytics with asynchronous snippet
  4. Add a DNS record
  • :confused:
  • I have not mastered using FTP which I would need to do to upload an HTML file
  • Where would I add a meta tag-I know how on my posts but not for the site
  • I can't seem to connect to my Google Analytics account-I am referred to the Webmasters tools
  • I know how to change domain server names, does this mean to simple add an additional domain server name after my primary ones?


I would appreciate any help I can get on getting my site verified.
My site is Wordpress and is an add-on domain in my hosting account.
