PHP Command line not loading extensions

Does any one knows why the PHP command line does not loads extensions such as curl and openssl when the apache addon does?

I am testing some script that requires stdin inputs which are not recognized by the browser.

    Do you mean php-cli? Can you check the output of its phpinfo, then check out the location of php.ini there to see if those modules have been enabled.
