Country Specific Coding?

I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this.

Here is my problem, i have a quiz script, which works without problems for my US members, but there seems to be problems with the UK &CA versions, as we are not seeing conversions on the quiz like we do for the US quiz offers. They are all setup exactly the same, so nothing is different, just the geo targeting is different.

So my question is this....

Is there a different way that things need to be coded for targeting users in Canada & the United Kingdom? Or is it just that they are not doing my quiz?

thanks for your help on this.

Site is academyquiz.com

.com is an American domain suffix (top level domain); it's no surprise it would show up there first.

Well that's just nonsense. I don't know the answer to your question, sorry, but it's definitely not this.

Apparently you don't know much about top-level domains. .com may be an international domain, but it's totally dominating in the search rankings of the US, while in the UK the listings are more dominated by .uk domains. This is before geo-targeting became a common HTML attribute. It is not exactly a secret that domain is one of the first things Google looks at when classifying domains. Optional attributes in the HEAD of your document (geo targeting) are of secondary significance. This probably means it will take a lot longer to process.

Of course, this doesn't mean this is necessarily the cause, but it is a significant factor you need to look at. You won't really know without testing certain things. It could also be just that the UK and Canada are much smaller populations, or tend to participate less by culture. You won't know without looking at statistics. What percentage of the Canadians are participating vs the US vs the UK?
