To CMS Made Simple or not to CMS Made Simple...

That's the question....

I normally do websites pretty simple. PHP includes or just straight html page for page. I've used WP a couple times and hate everything about it. The visual editor, having to update something every twenty seconds...

But I hear CMS Made Simple is pretty good. I just built a site in straight html/css. Should I go ahead and give CMS Made Simple a shot with it?

I would usually recommend sticking with the 'big three' (WP, Joomla, Drupal) due to the communities of these CMS's. If you ever get stuck, you can either find help or hire help.

Trying to get your post count up? What a useless reply. Usually when somebody asks about a specific piece of software, they want views on it. I'd ake a thread asking what it does if I didn't know.

The quality of answers you get depend on the quality of your question.

Based on your question, nobody can give you an educated answer about whether or not Simple CMS is right for you because you didn't provide enough information regarding:
        • The purpose of your web site(s)
        • What you're looking for in a CMS
        • What business you're in

        ... and so on.

Nobody knows jack squat about you or what you do. Without telling people more about you and what you do, all anyone can do is just take a wild guess as to whether any particular CMS is right for you.

I used to hate wordpress too. I would code everything myself. But then I got smart and decided that for niche sites or something that wordpress could do, why not save the time and hassle and just use wordpress! For apps or projects that I need custom stuff on, I still code it myself.

I almost always use cmsms for my projects
once to you see how easy it is to learn and use, you will be hooked

You build out your html templates
Add content blocks to the areas that you want to change on each page
    And just create your site
you can also have a different template for each page if you want

you can also add your own php code for custom modules and tags

It is a very nice program, you should try it
