How much should I charge a client to custom build a fully responsive tube style VOD site from scratch?

    How much you get per hour?

    Count time you need to build VOD site. Multiple it by hour price - it will be minimum.

    To attract new customers I do provide minimum.
    If I am busy - well, price commonly is tripled.

      Hello, thanks for the reply. We usually build sites for our selves and run them as a business. We do not develop sites for others but now we have a business JV situation where we will have to develop a site.

      I just don't know what is realistic market price for something like this.

    Joe, on the market there are free/opensource solutions for VOD sites. If customer can setup them - price will be ZERO(or his time)

    VOD site isn't project with description and without description it is hard to say.
    Lets assume you mean "common features" for VOD sites:
    - setup ready to use solution will be $200-$400, don't include customization
    - develop new one using framework $2000-$4000, include "custom UI" provided by customer

    Price do not include hosting/cdn fee.

      That's a good minimum price to start.

      Anything cheap -- be suspect!
      Anything more costly = not a surprise.

      Honestly, a quality setup is NOT easy.
