Helllo warriors, what i want to know today is, that for example i am having one domain suppose, indiatyping.com(without hyphen) and other person have
india-typing.com(with hyphen)

If anyone having indiatyping.com(without hyphen) , and we also want to buy in same niche, and we buy india-typing.com (with hyphen)

Now you see, there is difference of only hyphen in two domains, Rest all are same, So Is it worthy for second person to buy india-typing.com(with hyphen). if some one is already using indiatyping.com (without hyphen)

If you have both, page 1 in google for one of your keywords could look like this:

    result 1 shows page1/indiatyping.com
    result 2 shows page2/indiatyping.com
    result 3 shows page 1/india-typing.com
    result 4 shows page2/india-typing.com

Of course, you need to have the ability to rank and the pages should have content that is different enough that Google will show them.

But, yes, it's useful to have.

The question is, is it profitable given your set up and skills?

You can look at it like this too: if you buy it, one of your competitors can't buy it. In this case, even if you do nothing with it, just have it registered, your competitor has to buy something else, which might help your sales.

I don't think hyphens affect a website in any way, so you could get the domain with the hyphen and just try to rank better than the first domain. It's not impossible, it will only take some time and effort.

I don't even think people look at the domain in search. The domain name may matter if you are advertising or hand out business cards. Most people assume .com

But what sells a site in SEARCH is the title which could be something like Looking for India typing? India typing the affordable solution.

I would encourage you to go here read the information and use the plugin.

Look at search volume for the "keyword" within domain with and without the hyphen. If you links are built without the hyphen, and are used as your anchor, you should be OK.

It's always sweet to have the domain exactly how you want it, without numbers or hyphens.

    Hi,

You can get the domain with hyphen, there won't be any problem with the domain name.
But the thing is generally when people go to Google search instead of searching with hyphen they will search with out hyphen, then there is a change in user to land at a different domain.

      Hey Jeffirini,

I think your are right from your point of view, your concept is also very right if our website is our popular , that people know it from its domain name, then people will generally type domain name without hyphen.
