Hi,
If I'm advertising some product or service, are there any countries I have to avoid? I've recently saw LOTS of clicks from India and zero buys. Similar thing with Philippines. Are there any other such countries or was it just a bad luck?
In general, if I'm promoting some online stuff, should I focus on specific countries or just whole world with some countries excluded?
I'm using adwords.

It depends what type of audience you're planning to target. There are also people in developing countries with bucks who are willing to spend money. Therefore find out the correct demographic and then focus on selling your product.

It would be a bit tough to answer that with this much information since it could be possible that you are targeting some broad keywords or the product is not fit for the countries that you listed.

You can do some A/B testing. Experiment with focusing on countries from one geo-location to another (e.g. Europe, Asia, N. America etc.) and see where most of your buyers come from.

It depends on what you are selling.
    And how you are selling.

Certainly, some countries have more purchasing power than others and also more learned people with knowledge of the Internet.

Instead of avoiding some countries, you should defining your target audience. There are basically three people that fit into your personal brand’s target audience:
    1. The person that will pay you
    2. The person that influences the person that pays you
    3. Your supporter
    Good luck!

    You tell us.

What countries do you get traffic from and ship products to the same countries?

If you're in the US and don't ship products worldwide then you already know your demographic (US).

If you ship worldwide and just starting out you need to test each location but use some common sense based on the product you sell. Example, India probably isn't buying very many snow blowers compared to Canada.

The demographics information provided by Google will give you your answers.Start eliminating countries that do not produce sales.

I should also point out that normally, people ask this question because of fraud, not because of sales. Sales from certain countries are known to be much more likely to being fraudulent than other countries.
