Help with keyword vs niche, am I choosing correctly? I guess my domain name depends on it...

I am doing keyword research based on the RankXL course, and am thinking that I found my subject.

I want to target intermittent fasting and then the pillar keywords around this would be tips for intermittent fasting, intermittent fasting for fat loss, intermittent fasting diet, and so on and so on

All told this is a ton of monthly search volume.

But is this a key word or niche?

Choosing this makes fat loss my niche, and intermittent fasting my keyword right?

I just do not want to start another project that I fail at, and so I am asking this because I also need to choose a domain name and I cannot figure out if I should pick something with fat loss or intermittent fasting in it

Not wanting to limit myself, which way should I pick?

    Choose your domain name that includes everything. See here 'SEO' is a keyword and 'Digital Marketing' is a niche. If I choose Digital Marketing then obviously SEO will get included in it.

      Ok so then intermittent fasting is the keyword and FAT LOSS is the niche. That is how I see it then.

      Because if I take FAT LOSS as a niche and i talk about intermittent fasting as keywords, those keywords talk about the niche, and are directly related to it (like 90% of the time, at least in this case).

    choose fat loss as a DOMAIN because BRAND name is much better than EMD

      okay so apparently from 10 seconds research, google does not weigh in as much on the EMD so like you said, use fat loss in the domain but as i understand you want me to BRAND IT.

      That lends to the lessons i am learning that says google wants AUTHORITY sites vs quick hits, so build the brand and build content and google smiles on you vs a niche site that is exact match (which most are taken for most niche's by now anyways).

      is this about right?

        EMD domain targets only some specific keywords
        But if you use Brand domain you can target the whole niche
        of Fat loss

        EMD domain is a short term project . You can increase the Authority of both EMD and Brand but google prefers Brand domain instead of EMD.
        example
        Targeting 3 to 4 keyword through EMD = 10K visitors

        Targeting 10 to 15 keywords thorugh Brand = 25k to 30k visitors
        in Brand domain you just need to create a proper SILO structure
